The next edition of the Nonwovens Innovation Academy (NIA) will be hosted by the VTT Research Center and will take place on 11-12 May 2022 at Jyväskylä, Finland. A call for papers has been published and invites experts to submit their abstracts until 10 January 2022.
The Nonwovens Innovation Academy (NIA) brings together an interdisciplinary mix of academics, students, scientists, engineers and industry experts, to encourage the development of technical understanding and research to support innovation and growth in the nonwovens industry.
EDANA invites experts to submit abstracts
For this edition, the NIA will be hosted by the VTT Research Center and will take place on 11-12 May 2022 at Jyväskylä, Finland. Note this event will be hybrid. EDANA invites academics, researchers and industry experts to submit their abstracts for consideration for presentation at the conference.
The conference will focus on innovations in:
- Sustainability
- Sustainable materials
- Biomaterials
- Moving towards zero-waste (recycling: mechanical, chemical)
- Technologies
- Industry 4.0 in nonwovens
- Automatization
- Process simulations
- Process improvements
- New projects, new ideas or innovations in the trace of the pandemic

About NIA
The NIA is a 2-day event bringing together academics, students, scientists, engineers and industry experts. The aim is to encourage the sharing of knowledge, research and developments that will support the innovation and growth in the nonwovens and related industries.
Many activities are offered throughout the conference to provide the best breeding ground for innovation, a guided tour of the hosting institute facilities, a tabletop exhibitions dedicated to the presentation of Centers of Excellence and a posters area designed by R&D students showcasing academic projects.
