Aachen Membrane Course for Water Technologies

25.05.2021 - 27.05.2021 - Ganztägig

Veranstaltungsort:

Kategorie: Weiterbildung
Terminkategorie: Trade Fairs
Thema: Membrantechnik

The Aachen Membrane Course for Water Technologies comprises theoretical and practical knowledge of membrane processes in the field of water technologies and is open for professionals of different backgrounds. Membrane processes are applied in a variety of industrial applications such as waste water treatment, drinking water production, gas separation and many more. Water technologies in particular depend strongly on  membrane processes. Therefore, this course aims to give a sound knowledge of membrane technologies used in water industries.

Presentations and case studies deal with the fundamentals of membrane technology and membrane processes. The course comprises theoretical and practical knowledge of membrane processes in the field of water technologies. Currently established technologies such as micro-, ultra- and nanofiltration (MF, UF & NF) as well as reverse osmosis (RO) will be covered. Emerging technologies such as electrodialysis will receive special attention.

The membrane course for Water Technologies in a nutshell

The first lectures deal with the theoretical and fundamental principles of membrane technology and membrane materials. On this basis, fouling, scaling and monitoring as well as waste water treatment and industrial water applications are focused. All lectures are held by senior scientists and engineers with outstanding experience in the field of water and membrane technologies both in research and in industrial operations.

The theoretical part of the course is balanced with a case study and a virtual tour through our laboratories. For the first time ever the course will take place in anentirely digital format. The course does not require any specific previous knowledge in membrane technologies and is thus advisable to any professional.
