Members of the High Ambition Coalition to End Plastic Pollution will meet in New York, during the UN General Assembly, to discuss next steps in the coalition’s work. The event will take place in a virtual format. The first meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee is set to commence November 28th in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
The Co-Chairs of the Coalition, H.E Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya, Minister of Environment of the Republic of Rwanda and H.E Espen Barth-Eide, Minister of Climate and Environment of Norway, invite to a UNGA77 side-event titled Roadmap to End Plastic Pollution by 2040 with participation from experts and high-level speakers from UN, Government, Civil society and Business.
