MecNa is the name of Gessner’s newly developed air filter media that addresses the common problem of reduced service life due to the low dust holding capacity of current nanofiber filter media. Developed in the post-COVID pandemic era when guaranteed efficiency became essential for critical filtration applications, the filter media offers high longevity and filtration performance.
3D nanofiber media design
The new development of the product is its 3D nanofiber-structured media design. Unlike continuous electrospun fibers, MecNa embeds individual nanofibers into the filter media, improving both durability and performance. This particular design overcomes the typical limitation of shortened filter element life due to low dust holding capacity and ensures high initial resistance to airflow.
Continuous filtration performance
In addition, because it is mechanical filtration, customers can rely on consistent filtration performance without a decrease in particle removal efficiency, as is the case with electrostatic filter media. MecNa’s mechanical nanofiber structure ensures a constant delivery of clean and purified air and adapts seamlessly to a variety of environments. As it guarantees high air quality, it is the optimal solution for both conventional and demanding environments such as HVAC and ventilation systems, industrial air filtration, clean rooms and other critical applications.
