Filtrieren & Separieren International Edition

From nanofibers to membranes, from adsorption processes to digital simulations – filtration and separation technology has never been more global. With our International Edition: Highlights 2024/2025, we present a curated selection of the year’s most impactful technical articles, originally published in German, now available in English for our international audience.
We begin with Filter Development, focusing on material design and virtual prototyping – including a study on how nonwoven compression affects filter performance. In Air & Gas Purification, the role of aerosols is explored and a sustainable approach to industrial dedusting using biopolymer-based nanofibres is highlighted. Our third focus is Solid-Liquid Separation, showcasing new strategies in process water treatment, such as using wastewater for green hydrogen production. Finally, Membrane Technology offers insights into advanced materials and diagnostics. A case study reveals how membrane autopsies help identify failure causes and optimize performance.
We hope you enjoy reading this issue!

Unsere Top-Themen

At the beginning of every filtration application stands filter development: It determines which particles are removed, which media are protected, and which processes become feasible in the first place. The scope ranges from virtual simulation of novel materials to the precise fabrication of microscopic structures.
